Sheeting
Our sheeting facility converts highly sensitive roll materials into press-ready sheets without any scratching or adhesive bleed. A powerful ionising system is applied to the web prior to sheeting to prevent static build-up, ensuring perfect registration in subsequent printing. Other key features include:
• Shaftless unwind with ultrasonic roll diameter measurement and automatic web edge guidance
• Self-monitoring and adjusting machine – ensures accurately sized sheets throughout the production run
• Tungsten carbide tipped knife - cleaned on every revolution to prevent adhesive build up
• Double filtered and ionized air system for static neutralisation – for reliable separation of sheets when printed
• Cut sheets delivered to the pile via air jets – optional ‘corrugation' strengthens unsupported sheet en-route (subject to sheet size)
• Vibrating joggers – produce a tight pile of sheets
• Automatic insertion of tabs – for easy sheet counting and separation when packing
