Research and development
Research and development is the lifeblood of Lintec Graphic Films.
We continuously evaluate the latest raw materials, adhesives, face films, legislative requirements, print technology and inks to ensure that we can meet current and future expectations.
Our technical team works in close consultation with customers to develop bespoke, value added material solutions that exceed expectations. Having extensive knowledge of raw materials, coating capabilities, print methods, environmental and legislative requirements enables us to take a holistic approach when developing a material solution.
Much of our research and development is done in-house (we are approved by many automotive manufacturers to implement testing on their behalf). Our well-equipped UK laboratory is backed up by Lintec (Japan); giving access to over 200 research personnel and outstanding innovation, analytical and mechanical test capability. We consult and work closely with our research and development colleagues in Japan, sharing projects and technical expertise. We are also able to access useful additional resources, for example their pilot coating capabilities.
We focus on both customer-specific requirements (we can help obtain IP for their particular applications) and speculative development of our own when we identify gaps in the market for new products. Creating innovative products that generate demand inspires our business and drives our growth.
"The Triumph Motorcycle logo embodies a commitment to engineering and design excellence. When that logo is applied to a bike the substrate used must be able to withstand extreme abrasion, extreme temperatures and, given how proudly Triumph owners cherish their bikes, extreme polishing. Our technical team seized upon this challenge, formulating a customised graphics system of specially produced material, ink and varnish. The result was stunningly vibrant graphics able to endure whatever the bike experienced."
